ABOUT RENTING
All charges are for time out, whether used or not. Please make your selections carefully.
RESERVATIONS
We encourage you to reserve your party and banquet equipment needs well in advance, especially during the busy summer months. This will insure availability and allow ample time for your order to be packed and double checked in time for delivery or your pickup. In general, a deposit is required to hold most items, especially on high demand items.
PAYMENT
FULL PAYMENT for all rental merchandise, and any additional services or deposits, is due in advance of the receipt of your equipment. Credit will only be extended to pre-approved accounts. 48 hour notice is required for any changes to an order to avoid additional charges.
DELIVERY
Delivery is available for a fee throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.
DELIVERY IS AVAILABLE TO THE DOOR AT STREET LEVEL. IF YOU NEED ITEMS MOVED, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
Special containers are provided for most rental items to insure that you receive your items sterilized, undamaged and "table ready." Our delivery personnel are instructed to neatly stack all items in a mutually convenient place on delivery. Our count of items must be accepted unless we are notified IMMEDIATELY. NO CREDIT will be given for unused equipment unless it is returned with our delivery people or by the customer PRIOR to the start of your party.
PICK UP
All serving pieces including mirrors, glass circles, trays, plates,and related items, should be rinsed, food-free, and re-packed in the same containers as delivered. A charge will be made for all boxes and crates NOT returned. All breakage, loss and cleaning charges are in addition to rental charges.
Linens, napkins, table skirting and any other cloth items should be shaken free of loose food and be refuse-free and dry to prevent staining and mildew. Please place linens, in the same containers as delivered. It is appreciated when linens are folded after use and not balled up when returned.
Wax must be removed from candelabras and all other items where candles are used. An additional fee will be charged for wax residue on any items that are rented from Crown Marketing. All items should be assembled in a single location as specified earlier, ready for pick up. Items not meeting these conditions are subject to additional fees. If a Sunday, holiday, or after-hours pick up is requested, a service charge will be added to your order.
SET UP - KNOCK DOWN
Overwhelmed with your event planning or clean-up efforts?
Set up and knock down service is available at a reasonable additional cost if arranged for in advance. If no arrangements are made and this service is desired on delivery, our drivers must call for authorization and pricing.
At the time of rental you can inquire as to Crown Marketing's fee for installation of Crown Marketing's rental items for your event.
With advance notice, Crown Marketing Services can assist with your event knock down by removing and re-packing all items rented from Crown Marketing Services. Please note that this service will allow Crown Marketing's personnel to only clean up/remove/re-pack items rented from Crown Marketing Services.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
Responsibility for equipment remains with the lessor from the time of delivery to time of return. Please be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather. We do charge for missing, broken, burned or damaged items. China, glassware, etc., will be considered broken if returned chipped. We do not rent serving pieces or glassware that is chipped; once it is chipped we discard it. If you discover a chipped or broken item when you unpack your order, please notify us at once so that we can note it on your contract and not charge you for it.
RENTAL TERMS:
1. All rentals are cash in advance.
2. A charge will be added for items requiring cleaning upon return. This fee is not charged to linens or cloths. However, if linens, napkins, table skirting or related cloths are severely soiled to the point of Crown Marketing's inability to rent said items, to other clients, you will be invoiced for the replacement of said items.
3. The Renter will be charged for time until equipment is returned to store and return is verified by validation of the contract. That time is the essence of the contract and the Renter agrees that charges are based on time out, not time used.
4. The Renter certifies and acknowledges that they have this date and at the time specified received from Crown Marketing Services the personal property listed and identified in the contract.
5. The personal property is rented to the Renter by Crown Marketng Services to be used by the Renter at the designated address for the stated time period and is to be used solely for the purpose for which said equipment was manufactured and intended.
6. The equipment will not be removed from the address listed on the contract for use at any other address without the consent of Crown Marketing Services.
7. The Renter has personally inspected the personal property being rented and found it to be in good working and unbroken condition when received and declares that they fully understand the proper use and that it meets their requirements.
8. The Renter, upon termination of their contract as stated in the "Expiration Date" section of their contract, will immediately return the rented personal property, with all attachments, accessories, and parts thereof to the address of Crown Marketing Services during regular business hours in good condition and repair, subject to reasonable wear and use and agrees to compensate Crown Marketing Services for the amount of the contractually stated rental rates for each day or week consumed while equipment is in the process of recovery or repair.
9. In case of failure of the rental equipment for any cause, the Renter, at their expense, shall return it to Crown Marketing Service's premises. The Renter particularly understands that without Crown Marketing Service's authorization, the Renter has no authority to incur expense on Crown Marketing Service's account for the repair of the rental equipment.
10. If the personal property is lost or stolen, the Renter will pay Crown Marketing Services for the cost of replacement or repair of the personal property which was lost or damaged.
11. The Renter promises to hold Crown Marketing Service harmless and free from any and all liability of any and every nature whatsoever, arising out of the use, maintenance, or return of the equipment. The Renter shall indemnify and hold Crown Marketing Services free from all damages to third persons of their property caused by the Renter in possessing or operating the equipment, including legal fees and costs incurred in defense of such claims. In the event of an accident or collision involving any of the equipment, the Renter agrees to furnish Crown Marketing Services with a complete report or the incident, including all names and addresses of all witnesses and parties involved, and a copy of any police report, and further agrees that the equipment will be used by the Renter and / or persons designated on the contract, and no other person, without the consent of Crown Marketing Services.
12. If the Renter desires to extend their contract beyond the date and time originally agreed upon, the Renter will immediately notify Crown Marketing Services of this desire and obtain Crown Marketing Service's approval and terms for the extension.
13. If the renter by any reason of any breach of their contract (i.e. termination of their contract, failure to pay rental, insolvency of the renter, or any other reason it becomes necessary for Crown Marketing Services to retake posession of the personal property), Crown Marketing Services and it's agents shall be permitted and they are authorized to go upon the renter's property and retake the equipment without legal process. Crown Marketing Services and it's agents may use all force necessary to retake the equipment and the Renter expressly waives for themselves, agents, and employees, all claims for damages and losses, physical and pecuniary, caused by retaking by Crown Marketing Services. The Renter agrees to pay all costs and expenses incurred by Crown Marketing Services in retaking the equipment and in collection of sums due under their contract. Should Crown Marketing Services employ legal counsel to assist in the recovery of any sum due under their contract, the Renter agrees to pay all costs, expenses, and attorney's fees incurred by Crown Marketing Services.
14. Crown Marketing Services, at its own discretion, may revert all charges to a daily rate if charges or invoices are not paid on due dates.
15. The Renter agrees to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum or at the highest rate permitted by law, whichever is lesser, upon all delinquent accounts, and further agrees to pay upon demand, all reasonable collection costs and attorney's fees incurred in collections of the Renter's account, or in enforcing any of the terms of their contract.
16. The failure of Crown Marketing Services at any one or more times to insist upon strict performance by the Renter of the terms and conditions of their contract shall not be construed as a waiver of Crown Marketing Services' right to demand strict compliance.
